HipstaTest: BLANKO film; showing baseline color & artefacts of Lenses

This is a simple illustration of how various lenses affect a film. I used BLANKO as a baseline film since it gives you a good, general idea that you can mentally apply to other films.

(Needless to say...this was prior to the release of the latest lenses (Hornbecker, Libatique, and Matty.)

  1. Hi. This is more a question than a comment. I am completely in the dark regarding Hipstamatic cameras and how they work. From what I see, they're a relatively new trend. Could you answer a few basic questions?
    1. Do they actually use FILM as opposed to memory cards?
    2. Why are the various models assigned names (both the cameras and the lenses, which I get the impression that everything is completely interchangeable?
    3. If it IS real film being used, why the step backward from memory cards to film (which is a lot less forgiving and more expensive than memory cards?
